Mission
To make outpatient physical and occupational therapy possible for amputees needing financial support, while promoting wellness in body, mind and spirit.
Vision
All amputees will ambulate from place-to-place more independently, often without an assistive device. In addition, their self-esteem will be higher and this will improve overall quality of life.
We are an international non-profit organization formed to inspire, support, and educate. Our main purpose is to give those with limb loss a real hope for the future by helping them grow in wellness in body, mind and spirit.
We are celebrating seven years of serving this wonderful community
and look forward to many more!
Did you know approximately 1 in every 200 people in the United States has undergone an amputation? In the U.S. alone there are 2 million people living with limb loss, and that number is growing daily.
The AAA community was formed because I am an amputee of over 45 years and wanted to give back to other amputees by sharing what I have learned. I believe the main keys to recovery are inspiration (we want you to be inspired every morning you awake), support (family, friends and groups) and education (helpful tips, video's and news).
Along with proper exercise, nutrition and medical compliance you can be able.
We live in a high-tech, fast paced world and a lot of support is given on-line; so, we have a very active Facebook community with over 8000 members, for support 24 hours a day (join here). This site will always be updating and growing to meet the needs of the limb loss community. I encourage you to ask your Doctor, Physical Therapist, Prosthetist and friends to spread the news about AAA, so we can reach as many amputees as possible. Thank you,
